Hogle Zoo...with the grandkids....

On Tuesday we went to the Zoo ...We got there soon after it opened (9:30am) it was a perfect day to go because ALL the animals were out and moving around! The kids had fun, and the weather couldn't have been any better!

We got to watch their BIRD SHOW...it was FUN and very entertaining!!! Also the picture of the GORILLA above (he was standing right up against the window, when we waved to him he got made and punched the glass then walked away...all the kids screamed (it totally caught us off guard), but when I snapped the picture I got his BEHIND...the kids couldn't stop talking about it the whole day....they loved it!

Some of the highlights of our day was seeing most every animal up close...seeing the brand new baby giraffe, and just spending time hanging out and having FUN!!!

Elder Makai returned home Tuesday evening July 28, 2009! The past week was filled with "welcome home" festivities and we all enjoyed spending time together as a family to celebrate his honorable return !!!

He now speaks fluent Tongan and you can guess that Dad is sooooooooo happy about that...a five minute conversation between the two of them always turns into a two hour conversation filled with laughs and all...sometimes Mom has to remind them to speak so SHE can understand !!!

The past two years through his service our family has been so blessed and we are so thankful for his love for the Lord, and the Tongan people....and we are SOOOOOO happy he is back safe with us !!!

Wednesday we spent the day at Mom and Dad's just hanging out all day...






Thursday we woke up early and met at the Temple as a family...afterwards we went out to eat...it was nice! Later that night we met together with all the family and had a Family "Tribute" Night where every family did a tribute for Misi...it was fun! (I didn't take any pictures because Lini and I were in charge that night, but I think Mom did so I'll post pictures as soon as I get them).....

Sunday was his testimony...and following his testimony we had an eating (I didn't take pictures but mom did so I'll have to get those from her...)
