Can you say OUCH!!!

This is what it looks like 2 days after it happened....

Misi stepped into a city water hole when he walked outside of Leslie's house to get something from the car during our Makai family home evening on Sunday. Apparently the lid was not screwed on so when Misi stepped on it the lid flipped and down went his leg into the hole and then the lid slammed down wedging his leg between the side of the metal hole and the lid...We never heard him scream for help...in fact we never heard him at all...he was gone for about 6 mins and when he opened the door he limped in not saying anything....(die hard)

Pola (his girlfriend) asked him if he was okay, then he lifted up his tupenu and she freaked, we all did...It looked horrible! The hole had scraped some of his skin off the skin was ripped off so fresh that it wasn't bleeding the skin underneath was white and his leg looked all dented...the bruise had already begun to swell and become purple...Patrick got a pack of ice...and Misi put his foot up, but the whole time he was just calm and tough....I swear if it was me I would have been crying like a little baby or screaming at people not to touch it!

He sent me these pictures yesterday via text...and this is his comment that he sent with it...."My leg today hahaha lookin' good!"

You can see how deep the scratches on his legs are...this pictures doesn't do justice but they were very deep!

I am glad that he is okay....he's right, I guess it could be worse? OUCH~!

Weekend with the Kinikini Grandkids

My kids spent a couple days with Mom and Dad while we went to BYU Education Week! They had so much fun...they didn't want to come home?

They went swimming, 4-wheeling, ate McDonald's, had a camp out in the back yard, and they went fishing (Lia caught her first fish!!)

Here are some pictures Mom and Misi took of their weekend with the kids...

Here are some pictures I took when we got back around 11pm that night...they saved the fish so they could show us! hahahah...

Thanks Mom and Dad...for spoiling them ...AGAIN!

Pregnant Momma's

Here is a picture of the two PREGNANT momma's....

We threw Leslie a surprise baby shower a couple weeks ago! It was fun! She really had no idea it was coming either, Patrick was in on it with us...I'm just glad she didn't go into labor when we surprised her!! :p Here are some pictures of the shower...

The surprise video is on Marie's blog

We are sooo excited to welcome Leslie & Patrick's first baby BOY pretty soon!!! (any day now!!!)

We are excited to welcome Monica & Ova's first baby GIRL at the end of this year too!! These two baby's will make for 13 grandchildren in the MAKAI family !!

I guess you can say that the GRANDKIDS have officially taken over Grandma & Grandpa's house!!! :p

Hogle Zoo...with the grandkids....

On Tuesday we went to the Zoo ...We got there soon after it opened (9:30am) it was a perfect day to go because ALL the animals were out and moving around! The kids had fun, and the weather couldn't have been any better!

Here are some pictures of our FUN DAY....

We got to watch their BIRD SHOW...it was FUN and very entertaining!!! Also the picture of the GORILLA above (he was standing right up against the window, when we waved to him he got made and punched the glass then walked away...all the kids screamed (it totally caught us off guard), but when I snapped the picture I got his BEHIND...the kids couldn't stop talking about it the whole day....they loved it!

Some of the highlights of our day was seeing most every animal up close...seeing the brand new baby giraffe, and just spending time hanging out and having FUN!!!
